Our Story
The Gulmohar story began in the early childhood years of its two founders, Nazli Ali and Farah Naeem; They created Gulmohar as an ode to childhood, to the eyes that see the world as a moving water colour painting, where every impression makes an imprint on the soul of the child through feeling, touch and awakening.
What is Waldorf Education
Waldorf Education is an internationally recognised educational philosophy and methodology that is based on the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. Rudolf Steiner (1861 – 1925) was a philosopher born in Austria who developed innovative and revolutionary ideas in education as well as agriculture, medicine, architecture and social reform. Steiner recognised that childhood is the most precious and significant time in the life of a human being and is the foundation of the developing human being. By creating an educational environment that really allows the creative and cognitive abilities to thrive, we are really creating a strong base for their social, emotional and academic development later on.
