Forest School Program

The Forest School at Gulmohar is an after-school program for children between the ages of 6 and 11and invites them to learn through direct experience with the natural world. Taking place outdoors, the program nurtures a deep sense of connection to the environment and an understanding of one’s place within it.

Each session encourages exploration, teamwork, and creativity, whether it’s building shelters, identifying plants, observing insects, or simply listening to the quiet sounds of nature. Through these experiences, children strengthen their sensory awareness, problem-solving abilities, conflict resolution, and confidence in their own judgment.

Rooted in Waldorf principles, the Forest School approach values process over the end-product. Children are guided to take risks safely, care for their surroundings, and find joy in unstructured play and discovery

This is a five-week program held twice per week. The days and timings vary with each new cohort.
